Need Insurance in California

Well as the topic says, I need to find a cheap insurance company.

Recently my parents changed insurance companys to Hartford because the one we were using has stopped offering insurance for California. Hartford will not insure a 16 year old for a high-performance Camaro which is my current problem.

I have a 1989 Z28 Camaro 5.7 v8 Engine

I really want to drive my camaro again because the only other car I drive is a 1989 Camry which I want to destroy very badly.

If anyone knows a insurance company that will insure a teenage driver in california for under 1500 a year with high coverage on, please help.

The state has a program where you send them your information and they pick an insurance company to insure you. When I did that, the rate was much lower than what I had been quoted, and better than that... it was 1/3 of what that company was charging me. Kind of poetic justice the company that was screwing me got screwed back when the state picked them to insure me . I cant remember how the process works anymore though, its been a while. Try calling the state insurance commissioners office, or a local representative if nobody here knows.

We'd all be insured by that company LOL. Its going to be tough enough getting yourself insured with that camaro (btw they didn't have z28s in '89) and you're kidding yourself if you think you will get it that cheap. If you want to bring it down acceptable levels and you don't have the vaseline ready, you're going to have to cut back on coverage.

Well my Camaro is a 1989 5.7 IROC and has a z28 symbol inside the car, so I donno

It was bought new also for a sweet 18k

Also when I was actually able to drive the car I had insurance under National but they stopped offering insurance for California.

My parents were only pay 1200 for me with them with 100-300k coverage, but now when we have Hartford. They want to be some kind of insurance **** and my parents have three weeks to sell the camaro or Hartford will cancel their insurance for us, seemingly because I am 16 and Hartford believe I will drive the Camaro if it is still in the house.

They will insure me though when I turn 19 with a perfect record, sigh, what is the point of an Insurance company that will not insure you.

The above guy is right, you're car shouldn't have a Z28 emblem in the interior, no Z28s were made that year, only IROCs.
