What shoul do i do when i get this money?
ok in june ill be getting a couple grand for graduation...im pretty set on selling the sports coupe or possibly buying a motor for it...im thinking hard about getting a fox body mustang for the fact its the fastest car i can afford...or possibly a iroc or something im not sure yet. if i put a new lo5 with a edelbrock intake and carb could i even touch a fox body mustang? mustang comes setup better than the SC does...posi, more power, FI...ect...i dont know what do you all think id really like a stick to anyways

I'd consider a Notchback Stang, light, quick and some easy mods and you're running 13s. Or buy the motor you're talking about, but be sure to replace the cam and go from there. Would also be quick.

new motor baby :-) or buy a nitrous kit for it, and then put the rest in a CD and when you blow the motor you got now from the nitrous build a new one. thats what I'd do

i may be wrong about this but id say if you use nitrous properly and watch the fp why would you blow the motor?

If you're willing to spend the extra money there are control devices for safety percautions when using N20. Though I wouldn't want to use it for a daily driver.
Well, I've read my share of articles, and did my homework before I bought my car and I can tell you that the IROC-Z is a solid car to start building a performer from. I was in your situation last year, I had some money coming and I was lookin' at Mustangs, and Trans-am, and Camaros. I loved IROCs since the day a highschool teacher dusted our school janitor in his 1987 IROC-Z. (Janitor's name is Wally, Wally drives a 69 Carger). So I looked untill I found an IROC-Z for me. They handle and accalerate, and have a very good top speed, in a Mustang (don't get me wrong they're fast too) you can feel the car accelerate, and turn, and shift. IROCs are "emotionless" the only thing you feel is TORQUE BABY!
GO FOR AN IROC-Z and start from there.
p.s. I'm graduating too Congradulations, I'm hoping for some major funding too.

id rather just go ahead and mod the sports coupe instead of buying an iroc...i may get the motor i got to thinking having a brand new motor would be nice. id miss the handling of the camaro if i got a mustang anyways...im not crazy about how they handle. i might get the motor...i guess ill go ahead and get the edelbrock intake, carb, and distriibuter before june then switch it over once i get the engine. im debating about wether to swap motors myself with help from a friend of my dads or pay somebody to do it (i dont trust machanics tho) before the motor i may get new rims and tires tho...i think it would look so much nicer with a set of 16x8 torque thrust AR wheels. i got to looking around at the price of mustang mods....crazy expensive for some reason except exhuast of course. plus 5.0s are much harder to work on (dad has a 95) well have to see what happens...if i get the 350 and posi ill definetly have to get another car tho...winters here arent always good. i was thinking about getting a old rx7 and putting the 305 in there...i dont know how they do it but it would be badass

i was thinking, i'd probably approach things the same way you are if I were in your position. If you like the way Fox Mustangs look better than Fbodys, I say go for it. But I wouldn't buy the mustang just because it has more power to start out with. I like 'em too, they're good looking cars, but I would buy what you think is a better all around package, and then from there you could probly easily do a few free/cheap mods to equal the difference in performance.
A tough decision, I'm not sure which I would go for, but just think about which car impresses you more at first glance, and which you'd rather drive every day.
I think if you really like your SC, then build it up. I often think about selling my car cause it has probelms and isn't exactly as fast as I'd like it to be, and buying something "better" but if you already have a car that does you fine, a few grand could go quite a long way. I think you'd be faster than either of those cars if you put the money into the right things.
just my 1.5 cents

ill probably go with the 350 more potential to go crazy fast in my opinion. more cubes the better...hopefully i can get the motor by the end of the summer and get it in. i wanna go ahead and get the car looking alittle better first. since im still 17 and my 3rd gen is already the nicest around here...

I second that. By the time you graduate from college, you'll have enough money to buy a new car outright a potentialy retire early enough to enjoy it!
