a question for all canadians regarding RCMP
Hey guys I live in a village of less than 600 people, and in the last month i have seen more RCMP than in my entire life, they continue to harrass me, and give me dirty looks when they drive by me, they all ready gave me one speeding ticket for 89km/h in a 80km/h zone. i am becomming super paranoid what are my rights? how come they keep pulling people over for needles checks?

Where do you live? I know on the lower mainland in BC they are freaking out lately, due to a lot of street racer crashes.
If they are bugging you why don't you go talk to them? Ask them why the harassment and dirty looks? They are mostly ordinary guys that like fast cars as much as anyone--just don't race around them.

They are very uptight here. Got a ticket for 89km/h in a 60 zone and won in court, there was no sufficient evidence that I was actually the one speeding. They need probable cause to pull you over, so if they dont than that's against your rights.

It is doubtless the deaths of pedestrians from drag racing this spring. It was all over the TV news for a while. They are probably getting a lot of heat from the politicos over it all.
F-bodies tend to get stolen and used for other crimes, B&E's, etc. I know some RCMP officers, and they almost have a 6th sense when it comes to noticing stolen cars. Maybe your door lock or window looks like someone used a slim jim to break into it?
The import street racing scene is bad news around here. There were some guys lining up their cars to race in a residential area. A lady came out to write down the license plate numbers, and one of the guys punched her, knocked her to the ground, kicked her a couple of times, took her notebook and drove off. Bad news...

I live in the lower Mainland, and OUCH, EVERYWHERE theres a cop, i get pulled over 3-4 times a week, just cuz they wanna check. I understand that street racing has killed a lot of people, but just cuz i drive a fast car doesn't mean i race
