questions about water pump

Ok, i feel like a retard asking this, but better to be safe tha sorry. I just took off my flex fan, and put on dual electric fans.

do I have to put any bolts back in the 4 holes that the flex fan bolted in? or do I just leave it with no bolts in the 4 holes? this should be a quick one for you guys. I just dont undertand how that pulley would stay on without the bolts in it, know what i mean?'

I don't know for sure, but I'd put them back in. The pulley will look better with the bolts in, rather than the empty holes.

YES, for sure put the bolts back in, they also hold the pulley on the pump as well as the fan. you may find the bolts are too long depending on how thick the fan flange was, if so, go to the bolt store and get some shorter ones.

I agree with the last post, you'll need to get shorter bolts but you definitely need bolts to hold the pulley to the water pump otherwise you could easily send that pulley right through your brand new fans and radiator

(get the bolts!!!)
