Need a helping hand please!

Just need a little advice! Ok my ignition switch went out on me, so I think. Right now i'm running a wire from the ignition wire to the battery. Everytime i wanna start the car i have to pop the hood and get the wire that i rigged, and touch the battery.

Now is there a way i can run the wire into the car and touch a wire that is always hot, to start the car? Something temporary!Dailydriver.

...or save the time and money and replace the ignition switch. It isn't THAT difficult.

Check the fusible links down by the starter before you hack the wiring or spend any money, especially if any other things on the car also don't work.

Might wanna check your neutral safety switch on the shifter (or the clutch switch on the pedal, if you have a manual tranny). It'll make you think the ignition switch is bad.
Hot wiring the starter can be dangerous, especially if your under the hood.
If you start eng while it's in gear (auto or manual tranny) you may run into something or someone.
