rear end troubles

Do I need some kind of gear puller to pull the yoke for the driveshaft off the back of the differential housing? I got the nut off with an impact, but I cant get that part to budge.... any suggestions?

Sometimes they are hard to break loose. A rubber mallet or a hammer and a block of wood should do the trick. Alternate sides when stricking.

A little penetrating oil on the spline can help. A puller on the flange with the screw on the input shaft shoudl get it moving.
