Pro's and Cons of Fan usage
Pro's and Cons of Fan usage
I am currently wiring my fan to run constantly while the car is cranked. I want your opinions. I am only doing this until I get my dual system in about 2 months. Thanks.
85,
Your fans will wear out sooner, but if you're getting a replacement soon, that probably isn't an issue. The only other possible problems are that the alternator always has to work harder to generate the 12-15A to run the fan, and if you're using an auto with a trans cooler, the trans oil will take a little longer to warm up and thin out (high line pressure).
And Jester, I'm thinking you're probably making just a little more heat than '85 might be. How's the inverted radiator working out?
