Reusing roller lifters

305 TPI x-cop car with 106,000 miles on it.
Doing a rebuild and I am going with a new cam.
I know the cam will work with the stock rollers, but what I want to know is it safe to use the used rollers?
I just pulled them out of the block and they slid right out and they look really good.
Also is it ok to take them apart to clean them out? I had a small dust storm this morning and they might have got some dust in them.

don;t take them apart to clean them out, you shouldn't have to worry about that. If you reallly want, soak them some in some tranny fluid till you get around to dropping them back in..but I wouldn;t worry about it.

Thanks guys.

I forgot about using the tranny fluid, guess that's from getting old.
