What type tranny fluid for an 87 700-R4?
Sorry for putting this in the wrong forum! What type of trans fluid do I put in our 87 700-R4? Is it Dexron III-Mercon?

Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: 700R4
The newest Dexron you can find. In the 80's, that was Dexron II. I think there's even Dexron IV out now. But Dexron III will be fine. (Mercon is a ford designation)
