what to do ( tranny question

i just replaced my cluth yesterday cause it was slipping a little. i have this problem with the tranny tho that wometimes its hard to put it in gear. whenever i try and put it in 5th it feelsl like theres nothing there and i have to force it all the way up and let go of eh clutch clowly. after i take it out of 5th it wont take any other gear unless i play with it for a while

the mechanic that changed my clutch said that that when he took it out the pilot bering fell out and the shaft had too much play.

what do u guys suspect is the problem? should i rebuild or replace with another used one?

anyone here from nyc know of a reputable tranny place where i can get it done?

thanx in advance

Honestly, with a T-5 and the availability in junk yards, I wouldn't bother with trying to repair it - just replace it. Unless you want to build up the trans to "bulletproof" condition with new shafts, gear sets, etc., it would be far faster and cheaper to get a spare from the recycler.
