Ticking Noise during Braking

I just noticed this yesterday, but my car is making a pretty loud ticking noise during braking or sometimes at a dead stop. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this??? Thanks!

Low oil level?

Sounds like a momentary loss of oil pressure. My old ToJo used to do that when coming to a quick stop. Not really good at all for the motor!

That could very well be it. I talked to some other guy that said it could be my speedo cable if it is loose which it is, so I have a couple of problems. Thanks for the input!
