Will this hurt anything?

I just posted a topic yesterday on this, my smog pump is squealing really bad and its pretty much new. Its a reman from AutoZone and is about 3 months old. I was considering buying a used one, tearing it apart and making it to where it is just a pulley riding on a bearing. Anyway, still working on that one.
For now I put a little 3 n 1 oil into to see if it would lubricate it and make it be quiet. Well it certainly quietened it down alot but I was curious if it might cause any damage to my engine???
After I did it my SES light came on, I shut the car off, got ready for work and drove it to work and it did not come back on. Car seems to run fine. I know the box said not to put anything into it but I am/was desperate.

If your not concerened about Em's than rip it out. If you are go to a junk yard and get one. You can find them for 5 bucks there.

Austin may go to EM testing any day now so I want to keep it "looking" original and complete. Junkyards with 3rd gen's in them are hard to come by around here. If the pump begins to squeal loud again I am going to take it apart and remove the vains. I do not think I am going to mess with buying a new one. At this point, I do not care.

You should scan for error codes. I'm guessing that the oil you injected may have been diverted through the plumbing and slightly fouled the O² sensor. As long as the oil is not continuous, it should burn off with no real problems.

As for the AIR pump, the vanes are phoenelic plastic instead of compressed carbon, so the oil shouldn't cause any dissolving of them. It can't really damage anything else.

Just make sure the O² is still alive. If the engine was in closed loop, the oil-laden air would have diverted right to the exhaust manifolds.
