Non-mechanic needs help

I have a 1985 Z28 with a 305. I have a mechanical fuel pump and it looks like oil is leaking from the top of it, is this possible?
TIA junglecat

Welcome to the boards
Yes, I suppose it is possible.
Get yourself a can of brake clean and a couple of rags, a drain pan to catch the hazardous wastes and some saftey glasses/ goggles.
Put the pan under the pump and spray it down with the brake clean and wipe it with the rags till it is clean and dry.
Start the motor and let it idle and watch for the leak.
Good luck
