Esc
Esc
Would anybody agree with my suspicions that on a 350, with a 350 knock sensor, and a 305 ESC would only make my ecm more sensitive to knock? And would only positivly help in minimizing actual knock with minimal negative effects? (short of to much retard lessening performance)
Im assuming the 305 knock "setup" is going to be more sensitive due to the thicker cylinder walls and less power (stock), I figured 305 sensor/ESC would be extra sensitive in a larger engine with thinner cylinder walls.
Why do you feel otherwise?

Im pretty sure the 305 and 350 share the same knock sensor. I'm not so sure about the 305 and 350 sharing the ESC however. It's a good theory you have, though I don't know if there really is any substantial difference to make it noticeable.
Im becoming more currious...
does the esc in fact act as a "filter" to what the knock sensor sends it as knock? Or does it simply start throwing out retard?
I'd be currious whether they're so "tuned' together that a knock count on a 350 sensor wouldn't register within filtered limits of a 305 esc module, assuming I'm even understanding its functions correctly.
