i wouldn't count on seeing that kind of results ,bolt on a less restrictive exhaust system ought to do you more good.

HS67,

I did some research when changing mine. At one time, the Crane adverts indicated a 16.7 HP increase and similar increase in torque by changin to their 1.6: stamped roller rockers on a stock L98. I swapped them on my weenie LB9 and certainlty don't feel like I gained even 10 HP, but it couldn't have hurt, either. At least the roller tips will reduce friction and heat, and minimize valve tip and guide wear. The reduced friction and wear have to be worth at least something, but you have to be wary of advertised HP gains. Generally, those are done as a best-case situation where all other modifications are done and the item in question is definitely the weak link.

I was also told by summit taht you have to have tall centerbolt valve covers AND use the crane gold ones if you want rr's on centerbolt heads. is this true? because then you are looking at like $100 for covers + $300 for rr's I might as weel get some nitrous oxide for that. :-)
