Fastburn heads in a 305.

Will the valves hit the cylinder wall on a stock 305 with 214/220 cam with ~.500" lift?

I don't want to know how bad of an idea it is or just get a 350 anything like that, I just want to know there will be interference between the valves and the cylinder wall.

I've heard that even 2.02/1.60 valves will clear if the cam is small.

Use a "colder" cam and you'll be fine.

With the Fast Burn's 2.00/1.55 valve setup, I wouldnt worry about hitting the cylinder walls until you see lifts of .600"

I've seen 2.02/1.60 valves installed on a 305 and they clear. Shrouding doesn't even occur until lifts of .550" and we estimated that the valves would hit the deck at like .580-.600" or so. That's with a 60cc chamber.
