A friend of mine has a brand new Z06 that his grandpa bought him. Well he got a new supercharger and is having the car shipped to Cali for a complete tear down and rebuild. They're be replacing most of everything, so I was wondering if there are any parts I should see if I can buy from my friend like the heads or anything else??

edit: I was thinking the brakes perhaps?? intake manifold too perhaps??

 

Yeah umm no. The Z06 has an LS1 type engine. A third generation SBC. None of the stuff worth putting on your car will fit. Heads, intake, throttle body, injectors, exhaust manifolds, etc alll that is different.

 

damn, thats what i figured...... how much better is the brake system tho?? He's getting that replaced while its in the shop too

 

The brakes would be a huge improvment over your stock ones but they won't fit inside your 15" or 16" wheels. I'm not positive but you would probally have to get 18" wheels.

 

It would be easier to get his grandpa to buy YOU a matching Z06.
