Ok sometimes.. like today.. I go to start my car.. turn the key.. radio and all comes on.. but nada from the engine.. turn it again.. nothing.. stop.. wait about 30 seconds.. try again.. starts right up...

i'm guessing that isn't normal.. i just replaced the alternator and battery.. and their both working fine.. is my starter on its way out too now.. or something else?.. or maybe is this the way 86 camaro's start?

 

could be several things, bad ground, bad switch, bad key clyinder. with out trouble shooting i'd say the cylinder or key. do you have vats?

 

Did the same thing today but this time it didn't start til I hit the gas and brakes a few times.. ?.. and whats VATS?

 

Vehicle Anti Theft System .. its the little microchip in the ignition key...

Many things can cause this like ede said, even a messed up alarm (had it happen) ....
Is it a stick??? i might even be the button underneath the clutch pedal?
