Two things, first try to diconnect your battiery to reboot your computer. Second when your light came on what RPM were you at?? IT might be your EGR at the high rpm range. Good luck. Stupid wuestion, but are all of your plug wires on and plugs all the way in? Just try to KISS keep it simple stupid. That has worked more than I care to admit in the past for me.

i replaced egr but still has the check engine light on at idle what is the little box with the plug in and it has a hose running from it to the egr i ran my car and pulled the hose off of the egr and there is no suction or air movement for that matter could it be the sensor or whatever it is isnt working
not sure if you can just test for suction like that... but yeah that hose moves the egr diaphragm using vacuum...
if you disconnect it, egr will not engage, which is OK (not for emissions, though), so if the problem persists, it's something else...
I'd check the injector spray.. take the aircleaner off... visual inspection will do for starters.. if you see leaks or drops, especially at idle, you'll know your injectors are screwed...
I had a similar problem half a year ago:
