with the sending units for our gauges..........
do they send the data into the ECM first, and then the ECM sends the data to the dash

OR

do the sending units send the info directly


i need to know, because i cut most of the wiring harness out of my Z28

for example does it go:


oil pressure sending unit-to-ECM-to-dash

OR

oil pressure sending unit-to-dash


this is probably a stupid question but i need to figure what to do

basically the ecm only controls spart timing and a/f mixture the gauges are pretty much wired direct from the senser or sender.
