How to check to see if the fuel pump is working.
My friend has a 1982 Camaro with the CFI 305, well the problem is that he is not getting any fuel up to the injectors, so we are thinking that it is the fuel pump, but the people he bought the car of said that the pump was new. So by what I read to check the pump is to put I pin in the g spot of the aldl. but when we did that there was nothing, so then we tried it on his firebird and there was also nothing so are we doing something wrong, what is the right why to check the pump.
THANK YOU.

You have to connect 12v. direct to terminal g, connect 1 end of a wire to the battery terminal on the fuse box and the other end to terminal g.
You can also disconnect the plug from the oil pressure switch and jump across it

can't you just disconect the fuel line and have some one turn the key? maybe put your finger over the hose to see if your geting any fuel pressure out if it?

Well, we cant hear anything from the pump and we already disconnected the fuel line and tried to start it but there is nothing. So all we have to do is connect a wire from the positive side of the battery to terminal G and if the pump is not bad we should hear it run.
P.S should the key be in the on position or should we keep it off.
THANK YOU
