He deleted the post that proved it, but he locked a thread with a legitimate question because he "felt like it and doesn't need to explain it anybody", then made it a sticky for everybody to see how stupid he acted. I didn't get the point of that so I asked why he did that. Now he made THIS post a sticky to further show everyone how stupid he acts, just because he "feels like it".

 

I dont think locking the original post was a bad thing. There was a valid question in the post but his mannerism was straight from the toilet. I would have locked it to. He might have offended some hillbillies as well.

 

I'm sure the guy ment it as a joke. Of course it'll be interpreted differently by different people. That's not reason enough to lock it IMO.

The reason I asked about it in the first place is because it annoyed me having to see a stupid thread put up as a "sticky" and having to look at it everytime I visit this board.

Ede only closed a thread - he didn't ban the member. We have suspicion that the member is the same person who logged in as "chevykillaz" the other day, trolled around the site, and was sumarily banned yesterday.

If Ede was mistaken, the member could have the option of posting again in rebuff, without the demeaning or insulting language. The one I banned won't have that option.

It seems to me that Ede was being a nice guy about it, and I was being the "heavy".

Speaking of closing non-technical threads, is that the "Fat Lady" I hear singing?

 

i never deleted anything, maybe someone else did and maybe you just couldn't find it. as already stated i or any other moderator doesn't have to explain why we do what we do, read the user agreement, all we're doing is enforcing someone elses rules that all of you agreed to follow. among the rules you all agreed to is not to use any racial or demeaning language.
