Broken Leg??

I have the stock 10 bolt 3.42 rear, wich I thought was a posi...I have the G80 code wich I thought was posi, I used to spin both tires...lately only one..guess I fried the posi.
My question is will this SLP unit work in my 89rs without swapping the axles...http://www.slponline.com/view_produ...n&SHOWEMAIL=Off

Is there anything else I would need to swap in this unit? I have absolutly no experience with rearends...any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....Happy Fourth of July!!!!!

I posted this question on the tranny board, and got no response. Can someone help me out here!

you need to pull your axles and count the splines, it could go eother way, 26 or 28.

No, that's about it; that, and some fluid and a tube of silicone, and maybe some new carrier bearings, would do it. I'd put in new axle bearings too while I had it apart if it was my car.

Thanks fella's, I'm doing the tranny swap this weekend, I guess the rear will come shortly after ( as soon as I figure out how its done!) I will also replace the bearings, I hate doing things twice. Thanks again.
