help with remote starter solenoid installation

hey guys i got the remote starter solenoid kit from summit racing which i plan to install this weekend because i have been having alot of heat soak problems lately. just wondering who has done this and how hard it will be. do i have to remove the starter to get to the solenoid? do i have to remove the solenoid from the starter or just remove the wires? i took a look at it and i'm not sure how the hell i am going to remove the starter, can you even get a wrench in there? please reply with any advice, i am going to attempt thid myself anyway but if anyone has any tips to make this easier i would appreciate it. thanks,

as vader says starter heat soak=too small a starter, yeah you can get a wrench in there, it isn't easy, i use long extensions and 1/4 drive sockets.

It's childs play. A 5yr old can do it. Here's what you do. Put the car on ramps, unhook the small wire and put it on the "S" terminal on the remote, then take the big starter wire off and put that little metal bent thing with the two holes on it, then put the big starter wire back on the starter. The other big wires go on the side of the remote facing the battery and the one big wire from the starter goes to the other side by itself. You may have to buy a different wire. I used one I had laying around from a Ford. But I have the same Summit remote kit you have. It should have came with instructions. Did you read them?

hey not that anyone cares but i finally installed the remote solenoid. i did it all myself it wasn't really that hard, i didn't even have to remove the starter or solenoid cuz i could see all the wires from underneath with the car up on ramps. i mounted it in a spot between the battery and the headlights where it will be nice and cool. anyway my car starts everytime now, doesn't matter how hot it is... sweet !!
