Ok i own a 1988 iroc z and a 1991 mustang gt i found out today on my mustang that the main bearing seal is leaking is it ok to drive the car like that?what is the cause of this?is it a hard fix?please help me i need all the advice i can get damn fords i knew i should of stayed away from them!!!lol help me though

 

i'd look again, look at the valve covers, oil senders. unless it's pouring oil out of it considering how hard a main seal is to replace i'd not bother. keep an eye on your oil level.

 

This IS the 302 engine, right?

 

Yes thats what i thought it was the valve covers leaking the oil but a guy looked at it and said it was the main bearing seal. and yes its a 302 ho

 

Just as long as it isn't like mine.

I dummied and didn't put a thick enough front pan seal in.

So my car is in the garage until it gets fixed this weekend
