hard start/stall on incline?
hard start/stall on incline?
This has happened twice since my new engine went in. Both times I had about half of a tank of gas and the engine was cold. Once was backing out of a 45 degree (upward) driveway, the car stalled repeatedly until I rolled flat and started it again. The second time was this morning, I started the car and drove into my driveway (50 degrees downhill) and the car stalled. It would not restart until I rolled it into the garage and (after checking the fuel pressure) cranked it about four or five times.
I've been avoiding inclines in fear that it will stall, but I haven't ever had it stall warm(even though I've parked in both places many many times). Everything in the car is new except the fuel pump, tank, computer, and body. The fuel lines, injectors, all sensors, etc are all less than a year old. Other than this problem the car runs great.
