Guages DO NOT wok!!!!!!!!!!!

My guages don't work worth crap. My gas gauge "lies" to me
( I ran out of gas twice on the highway this week ) my temp gauge doesn't work at all. My oil guage just sits all the way to right and sometimes fluctuates.
Please help this has been plaguing me since day one.

Could be the connector that goes to the gague could be loose or off. Have you checked the sending units for the gagues?

have you checked the fuses, because in my 82 camaro my dash was shorting out and,it is because of a wire shorting out.

If you can't find the problem with your original gauges, you could always get mechanical gauges. They are not too hard to install and are probably more accurate/ reliable.

This is a long shot but are the connectors behind your gauges coroded? They are just copper on top of a thin sheet of plastic, so who knows, they could get diry.
Also, there is a very very very small chance that all your sending units are bad.

Do you run out of gas at a consistant point on your fuel gauge?

How easy are mechanical gauges to install?
I run out of gas consistently at a tad less than a quarter tank.
