Are all SBC vehicles the same serpentine setup? Could I take the setup from something like a GM truck? What about a caprice or an S-10 or something with a 4.3 V6?

 

4.3 would work, a 3.8 too i think, and SBC would work. take everything. pay attention to the water pump if anything bolts to it you'll need it, ot a new one just like it. also some brackets may attach to the exhaust manifolds.

Yep, the 4.3 Blazer setup works good, just grab the whole deal as there are some differences from a TPI type setup.... I can't remember off hand but I think I re-used the blazers PS pump... Ohh, and I think someone mentioned the Blazer puts the air compressor too high and it hits the hood, but who the hell need a/c?

The water pump spins backwards so if you're going from a v-belt setup to a serp setup get the wp also...

 

Well, I definitely need A/C, here in texas. This is my daily driver, and it sucks driving around in 100 degree heat with no A/C. Would any other car's setup put the A/C compressor too high?
