replaced wires....not hesitates and slight miss......help please

Hey guys.....first of all thanks for taking the time to read this...

1983 camaro....305 bored .030 over....hei ignition....no emissions

i replaced the plug wires today...i had a set of those cut to length ones b4 but decided to just buy the stock replacement set of bosch wires(8mm) when i was trying to best match up which wire lenght went to which plug(one at a time not to mess up order) i wound up using the shorter ones all on the passenger side. i didnt think this would be a problem but when i started the car and went to go....there is a hesitation like a slight miss.....its not major but it is def noticeable...i checked all the wires and they are on the plugs/dist correct....(heard and felt the "click" when i pressed em on) as a matter of a fact ive checked it three times....the wires arent crossed because i never had more than one off at any time.....

the question i have is this: could the use of the shorter wires all on the one sidehave anything to do with this?

also.....on my alternator....i noticed(dont know if i did it during install of wires or not) that the orange wire coming off the back of the alt is not connected to anything.......what does this wire do...and where should it go and furthermore could THAT have anything to do with the above problem....

i need any advice possible...i drive 35 miles each way to work each day and dont want to run the car too long like it is.....

thanks in advance

I dont know what your problem is man, but I dont think it could be the shorter wire problem. Check your timing, it is possible you could have rotated the distributor a very slight amount, and it doesn't like it....

Sounds like you messed up the firing order. Start at plug 1 and recheck.
