service engine soon light coming on after new starter...

I just changed my starter in my car today. I had to disconnect the y-pipe to get it down. I have the edlebrock TES headers and y pipe. Now when I get on the gas my service engine soon light is coming on??? could this be because of a bad connection in the in the y-pipe or what??? And it seems to crackly and pop more when I let off the gas. Thanks for your help.

It's a just a wild guess but isn't the knock sensor down there? Maybe it got messed with.

check the O2 sensor on the Y pipe and check for codes, make sure you have the exhaust bolts tight, it will take time for the pipe ends to seat again.
