Im in the process of doing some mods to my 87 Z28 5 speed car that has the lg4 305. It has a craped out computer controlled quadrajet and small body hei with external coil (after 86). I want to upgraded the carb and ignition so I can tune without the computer interfearing.

I have a new accel large body hei with internal coil(before 86) and holley 650dp just sitting around. I would like to be able to put these in the camaro and bypass all the computer bs. Will the old style hei swap out and work right? Would I be able to run power to the coil and tack of the stock wiring harness? Have any of you out there done this? I would like to get rid of all the computer and emissions crap if I can (no testing where I live).

and yes again.....wires are in the same clip...fat pinkish red.....+ Bat....small tan wire....tach..you will need to change the connectors,,,,
