spark plug question -- PIC
Hey guys, I just pulled my #1 plug to see how it looked and it seems kinda funny, it is brown on 1 side and like new on the other. I replaced them about a month ago.

is this normal or is this a sign of somthing.
Thanks,
Ben

Well it was a little out of focus, but otherwise OK. That is absolutely normal and an indication of a good running engine. The dark side just means that side was facing the exhaust valve. Or is that away from the valve? Hmmmm... can't remember. Anyway, plugs are supposed to be brown w no spots on them. Black is rich, white is lean, white spots are coolant, black spots are oil.
