Compression Question??
My engine has 8.5:1 compression.
Now on the cam swap today my brother was turning the engine over, I guess that's what he was doing with a ratchet. It was having a really hard time at it, and said he thinks the engine has more compression at least 9:1, or that the rings are holding the air/pressure (?) really well.
So, what do you guys think.

????????
Doesn't really matter how hard it is to turn it over with a ratchet. You need to know the type of pistons, deck height, gasket thickness and head chamber size to figure out the static ratio.
