I have just bought my first car, a 87 Camaro with a 305 computer feedback carb and a 5 speed trans. I was thinking of buying a GM Performance parts H.O. 350 Camaro Conversion kit for my Camaro. But the problem is that the kit says that its emission legal with a auto trans but says nothing about a 5 speed. I live in california and want to know if I can swap the engine and still pass the smog test. Also would there be any problems with the computer that comes with the kit and the 5 speed trans. Has any one out there done this swap a little advice would help.

I don't know for sure but if I were you I would call up the parts department direct and ask them, they're probably the best bet. Good luck with your new car!
