23 Degrees or Sportsman II?

This is my setup... 350 with .20 over KB Hypereutectic which will give me about 10.2 compression with 64cc heads... 216/230 hyd cam with .454/.480 lift... 600cfm carb...

Anyways, my question is, which heads would you pick... Trick Flow 23 Degree CNC ported heads or the World Productos Sportsman II heads... According to DesktopDyno, it seems I would get the same results out of both... a bit more with the trick flow but not worth the $200 difference... also one is aluminium and other in cast iron, but perhaps you guys know a bit more and could help me decide...

I'm also considering the Dart Iron Eagle 200cc heads... is 200cc a bit too much?

Is CNC porting worth the $150 extra?

I'd go with the CNC heads. The CNC machining gets you a few extra horsies.

Bets are your pistons are .030 over instead of the .20 over...

But I have the Sportsman II's, and they had guide problems. If you are looking for an iron head, look at the Dart Iron Eagles. More flow right out of the box. My heads were bought bare, I ported them, new valves, etc and less than a year later, had smoke and alot of oil usage. So at the tune of another $450, I had to have the totally re-done. So now I have $1200 in a set of iron heads.

The aliminum will be better on your higher compression, and better worth the flow IMHO for the added money....
get the TF's.

Nope 0.20 over Rings were a bitch to find The block has like 70,000 miles on it... came from my brother's 79 Blazer... I just wanted to drop in fresh parts and raise my compression before I swapped it in...

And yes... I'm considering the Trick Flows, but the Dart's and Pro Lightnigns are on the top of my list now... anybody use this heads or have experience with them?

its possible that they are twenty-thousands OS

The number you had quoted was .2 (two tenths over)

It will certainly give you a good bit if torque.. if you don't ventilate the cylinder wall during the boring process.

Go with the 23degrees and get some real flow numbers.
