ok, I did a stupid thing yesterday. I gased my automatic V8-305 TBI 89 Fbird, and right after, it started ticking and shaking when I gave it some gas, the rpms show it going uo and down (idleing it starts at 900 then goes to 1500 up and down all the time, even when driving) like it is shaking with the engine, it has slower and feels as it will give into 3rd gen heaven if I don't accelerate slowly. Thanks....and smoke from tailpipes is gone now that i reported on earlier.

 

You have to explain your problem a little more to us. What do you mean the shakes? also, you say your RPMS are jumping around, Have you done any checks at all under the hood yet. have you recently put any parts on your engine? Open the hood and take a peek around. Look for a spark plug wire buning on one of the header pipes. look for loose or disconnected wires and sensors. Check anything and everything you can and then if you still have the problem come back
