Roller Lifters from Vortec?

Can you use these lifters and cam in a 86 block. The lifters are out of a 96?

If you already know you have a roller block, the lifters will work. If you're not sure, 86 was the changeover year, so the only real way to tell is to pull the intake manifold off and see if you have the three bolt holes in the lifter valley for the "spider". I don't know if that necessarily means it will have the bolt holes for the camshaft retainer in the front. Maybe someone else can give you a definite answer on that. HTH
