Block Drain Plugs

Alright, ya know after you've pulled a few motors and just as you're passing them over the front painted bodywork they leak/spew coolant because you didn't open the plugs to drain the block? Ya know how that irritates you? Well, in my new strocker I've installed radiator petcocks in the place of the traditional block plugs. Has anyone else done this and was where your expeience with them?

Mercury Marine does that with their boat motors so they can be drained for winter.
My boat has a 350 engine that came with them. No problems with them.
See your local boat dealer for some good brass ones.
