i tried posting this in another forum, but didn't get any replies. so here we go again. all right. time for me to drop a wad of money. i want a new motor. not just any, a 383 or a 400. i don't know what kind of power level i'm looking for, but i want to run 11.3 - 11.5. i will be keeping the rest of car just the way it is. i want a completly streetable car. i want to shift at 6000. i will be running 17 inch rims, with drag radials. no way around that, my brakes won't fit on 16's. i already have a p-1sc procharger that will be used on this setup. i want to use Accell super ram intake. anything else is changeable. i will be building this on a new block, and want everything done right. what are your thought's comments or idea's on the subject? thanks a lot. check my sig for details.

 

i think i'd lose weight, run an aftermarket block, SFCs, cage, 9", look to shift higher, 7500, run a th400 with a lot of stall (4500) and i'd reconsider a mini ram

 

Them there "Motown" blocks can be had with the 400 bore. I think they can be taken to 427 cu.in. then you should surpass your goal with the right parts N/A.
