heads,
heads,
Today I pulled the drivers side head off to fiqure out why the back plug keeps fouling. I have replace the coil, cam rotor plugs and wires, even went with bosch platinums. This is not the usual lil black carbon type but lets say enough carbon to pack the entire tip of the plug closed completly, The motor has only around 17,000 miles on it with everything new in it. The heads also have 400 dollars worth a machine work, valves, seats, guides, all that stuff. Well anyways when I did get the head off the pistons and block look realy good, but the back valve on the head is bright white, only one of the valves in the chamber, all the other valves are dark, but this one is white, what do u think is wrong. Tommorow i will take a pic of the head and post it.
well yea i had some free time and decided just to pull the top end off and inspect everyhing since i wanted to clean and paint the firewall, and reroute some of those wires. Anyways the car has always had a horrible idle with the stock cam, replaced all ignition had the valves adjusted many times but nothing, also was starting to smoke a lil when you rev it. so maybe it has a bad valve or seat, also with the valve being white im thinking maybe some moisture, maybe it has a hair line crack around the valve.
