Triumph TR7 revisited...
Hey if you guys remember back in the winter I was asking about how my friend and I would go about dropping a Ford 302 into his 1979 Triumph TR7. Well turns out the 302 block was too tall to fit under the hood of that little car, so we found a 1971 chevy 307, TH350 Hydromatic, had the driveshaft, and motor mounts fabricated... well here are the fruits of our labor.
The stock 3.90 gears in the rear are killing us right now. It turns about 4000 RPM at 55 mph, but it looks like an S-10 rear with 3.08s will fit easily under the car. At $120 from the junkyard it seems like a better deal than buying the 3.08 gears for the Triumph rear, $750!!!

Hey that's cool
Not often you see TR7's over here in England yet alone States side. You should have started with a TR8 which has all the harware there already and the infamous Rover V-8 3.5ltr (a buick designed engine) . Keep us updated though. You may be interested to know I have a Triumph Stag over here, that's a great car too.
