fuel pump problems
fuel pump problems
hi,
i have a fuel pump problem, its on a 90 chrysler lebaron, with a 3.0 v-6 fuel injected, alright, the fuel pump died a few months ago,and i didnt have the money/time to mess with it,so i waited a month or two,and put a new fuel pump in it,it would start, after cranking it a while, after that it ran like it should, took it out for its first road test, drove it prolly 10-12 miles,it started losing power, and eventually dies, but started right back up,drove fine for the next few days, drove up to work,110 miles away,it shut off when i got there, and i had to mess with it for about 30 mins to get it to stay running after i started it,and finally it started drove it home no problems, then a day or two later,it shuts off,and doesnt start again,so i dropped the tank back out,and redid all my connections, and put her back together, same results as the first time, and now it wont stay running, there is a leak in my tank, where the return line goes in,could it be that it is sucking to much air,and wont let ie have the vaccum it needs to pump the gas through?or what else could be the problem?thanks
