i fouind another sensor
ok guys while swapin my 305 tbi for a carbed 350 i have found many sensors. this is wut i know, the one on the pass. head is for the fan, the one on the driver head is the temp guage, the one above the oilfilter is for the oil pressure guage, and the one on the frot of the manifold i don;t need cause i am takin out the computer, now this is my question- i found another sensor in the block on the pass. side. what does this do and do i need it when i tear out the computer? also one more question-on the back of the manifoldbehind the egr valve there is a little relay i guess, its bolts to a bracket that is bolted to the manifold. now do i need this or no and wut does it do?also with the little vacum thing rigth there do i nned this?one line goes to that black canister and i was gonna take that out is this ok? thanks
On the passenger side block is your knock sensor, you won't need it without a computer. On the manifold is the EGR solenoid, you won't need it if you get rid of EGR. It basically allows the computer to control the EGR valve. There's really not any reason to get rid of the fuel vapor canistor.

ok well then i will keep the can. but what about the sensor in my dirverside header? i thinm its the o2 sensor maybe? do i kep thgis or does it come out with the comp.? thanks oh and is there anythign else i should be aware of thanks guy
You won't need to connect the 02 sensor to anything, but you might as well leave it there to plug the hole. The only other thing I can think of is the torque converter lockup switch. Have you figured out what you're doing with your fuel pump?

well i have a stick so i don't have to worry about that, and with the fuel pump i got a regulator and i am pretty sure i know how to wire it up to run without the comp. thanks for the info on the o2 sensor

on the back of the manifol on that bracket u say thats the egr solenoid, now this has a line from it goin to the tbi witch is vacum i guess and it has some wires goin into it. now is this wut u are talkin about?? ok well there is also a vacum like comin from the back of the manifolt that goles to this black thing and it slits it out one way ito i dunno where and the other one it goes along the firewall then along the drivers side fender and into it beside the canistor thing. wut is this?? oh and with the fuel vapor canistor. the wires goin to it, wut do they go to?? and if i am just hookin vacum u to it how is it suckin in fuel vapor??
