Bad Feul Pump?

Just conveted form tbi to a holley street avenger 670 carb
i used the factory tbi pump and a mallary ignition regulator
when i turned the key the fuel preesure guage didnt move so i dissconnected the high pressure line and turned the key and nothing. The engine deosnt have to be running or craking to get feul pressue right
before i put the carb on i did some mods and it ran horrible it would bog under load and always run lean but i thought it was the tbi not keeping up with the mods thats why i went to the carb wich ill probally be much happier with so what do guys think is up with this and how can i test the pump without droppin the tank iwas also was thinking of the relay and i looked at the fuse and its cool. thanks

if you can put a FP gauge on it you'd know what you have for sure. seems odd the FP would fail while your were working on the engine. if you're running the supply line to a regulator an then the carb you should have 4-6 lbs. of preasure to the carb. quick and cheap check is to crack open a fitting before the regulator and fuel should spray out under preasure and not just give a little squirt and drip.
