Inexpensive 2 bolt short blocks?
Inexpensive 2 bolt short blocks?
I'm looking for one and I was wondering where to get it from. I'm looking for a rebuilt stock 350 short block, not some crazy $2000 setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I should've said this to start, but i'm looking for something professionally done. I just bought myself a 350 short block for $300 that is COMPLETELY screwed, so I don't want to go through that again.
What about possibly JUST the block? I have a good crank, rods, etc. Does Chevy sell only the blocks? I've tried machine shops and the like around here, and none of them have just blocks. They always try to sell me on some just rebuilt thing that some guy used their shop for (but they didn't do themselves) or some overpowerful drag monster that would cost me more than a brand new Firehawk and the insurance on it. How much would Chevy sell me just the block or maybe even a stock (not GMPP) short block for?
Yeah, that's what i had. Turns out that the block overheated and the cylinders warped. I'm looking for either a brand new, never touched block or something that is freshly machined.

i got that one kus my engine **** the bed but the block was fine. but i found a 4 bolt main already tanked and finish honed for 50 bux off a friend. actually its a complete motor its just not assembled so im just throwing my heads and tpi on it. alot easier than going thru tanked and machining the block.
So, does GM sell the block seperately as a replacement item? I know F@#$ does, and it's cheap for just the block, too. $300 for theirs, brand new casting. No $1600 World Product
for ONLY the block. So does Mr Goodwrech give us the same benefit?
