What's the difference between vacuum hose and fuel hose?

My dad gave me a bunch of old vacuum hose and fuel line he had sitting around from years ago. He's forgotten which is which. Is there a difference in they way each is constructed, or are they interchangeable providing they're the same size?
Thanks

Fuel line will have thread/fabric reinforcing. Vacuum won't.

The vacuum line will slowly soften or dissolve in gasoline. The fuel line will be made of a material that will resist the solvents in gasoline.
