I have the 350 caprice engine from JIm Pace Warehouse and there new catolog says that if you add the LT4 cam that you can reach 300hp. There not talking about the hot cam. just the lt4 cam. i put the lt1 cam in my engine and dont think it helps much. i am running a tpi engine.mods are below. would the lt4 cam be a lot better then the lt1 cam i have now.

 

The LT4 cam is much better. The LT4 engine made like 335hp versus 275 of the LT1, but the cam is only one reason. Almost every part of the stronger engine was superior. It is better than an LT1, but in my opinion would not be worth swapping in for the small difference you will see. I am running the LT4 cam in my car, according to desktop dyno it should be making 310 horsepower and about 400 ft/lbs of torque. It's plenty strong, but an LT1 cam wouldn't be weak in comparison.
