Need Pro A/C Help

I bought this '89 Formula crashed in the front, so naturally some of the wiring burned. Some of it was to the AC. I was wondering how all the electronics worked on the AC as far as switches and relays go. I understand the principle as far as compressing and expanding and cooling gases. I just don't know the particulars about this system. I've also heard that the whole system needs to be replaced to properly go to 134A. Should I look into Vintage Air and just get a whole new system and save myself the headache? I also bought a jy condeser because the other one was obviously not going to work anymore.

considering the cost of r12 and the fact that you're going to be in the system and replacing parts i'd look into converting to r134. you can find wireing diagrams in a lot of manuals
