Pics of my torn-down motor
Heres a picture of the stretched out timing chain ("satan" is someone on another message board):

One of my friends once said "orange and chrome dont get ya home" The cylinders dont have a single imperfection in them. Not bad for a 14 year old motor thats been beat to death:

Another picture of the motor. Dirty and old but runs like new:

The old stock cam had seen better days (like in 1988):

Picture before the tear-down:

Well, now the heads have to go to the machine shop for work and the car should be done. I wonder how long the stock short block will last behind a healthy shot of nitrous? We'll see.

Took about 3 hours to rip everything down and remove the heads. Add another 1 1/2 to pull the cam. Absolutely no hard-to-get bolts or anything ...it all came apart nice and easy.
I really don't care about this motor too much so blowing it up wouldn't really bother me. Who knows how brave I'll be when I put it back together and slap on the nitrous kit ...100, 125, 150, maybe even a 175?
Yeah maybe I'm a weee bit crazy.
