brake vacume line to manifold??

hey guys i just did my 305 tbi to 350 carb swap and i took the vacum line out of the brake booster and put it into my manifold(performer rpm) and i was wondering if it need to be in the back of my carb instead? i don't see how it could make a difference but i was just wondering.
